Street Art

Paul Riedmüller aka Perkup is a painter with a history in drawing and street art, as well as graphic design and animation. He uses computer software and digital collages to work on sketches and paints in hyperrealistic style – often depicting images and symbols from pop culture, video games and movies.

He has a strong ability to paint in almost every style, transforming his painting techniques to the purpose of the work’s subject. In his artworks he combines figurate and abstract expression, creating intricate and complex compositions that constantly force the spectator to reevaluate what is to be seen in the image. Patterns, grids and flat shaded surfaces meet painted water drops, stickers and photorealistic motives.
