In order to connect young entrepreneurs coming from the creative industries of the Forward Festival cities, we have initiated a city exchange program. The 3-year programme started in Vienna in 2018 and continued in Munich in 2019.
The project aims to intensify the bilateral interdisciplinary exchange between the cities. Perception in general and industrial relations in particular are to be promoted in an alternating manner in order to promote the locations. The format was developed to increase the regional added value of the creative industries as well as to professionalise the services.
The participants are part of a four to five-day programme consisting of joint tours through the creative scene of the host city (Open Studio Days / Studio Visits), meetings with creative leaders / stakeholders of the city and a visit to our in-house Forward Festival, where discussions with selected speakers take place and workshops are available. The festival visit ends with a Speaker Dinner, where you can get to know other participants personally.
The programme will conclude with a workshop, the so-called Exchange Lab, whose guiding principle is “learning from the best”, which offers creative artists, industry experts and specialists the opportunity to learn from and with each other across borders in order to jointly develop new approaches and create new products and solutions.
